In-game UI concept design
This is a self-initiated project. To create more UI work for my portfolio. The Deletion Complex is a high-tech, military-edged thriller set in the near future where via a twisted mix of reality and AR corporate spies steal, assassinate and wage war on each other. It’s a core game aimed at a mature audience and should be appealing to fans of films such as “Inception”, “Ghost in a Shell” and TV shows such as “Person of Interest” and “CSI”.
The platform is for New Gen set to 1920×1080 px. Requiring a concept for the Gun Upgrade screen and a set of icons: Hack System, Upgrade Weapon, View Missions and Talk to Character. All these icons should fit the style of the game concept.
The key parts of inspiration used for the final design were to understand the theme and style of a high-tech, military-edged thriller based game. With the background imagery representative of surveillance cameras or spying government, accompanied by a network of information and technology coding to build upon the visual story.
Squares, hexagonal’s and triangles would be the shapes I would use to display key areas of the design and navigation. Rough ideas and a clear structure of the site map weapon screen help me understand the flow and how it will all fit together. The final concept is created from these early ideas.
